U15 Qualifier | Cuba wins and secures a ticket to the U15 World Cup; Panamá and P. Rico tag along

The U15 World Cup for America knows it´s first three qualified teams, Puerto Rico remains unbeaten in the event, while Cuba and Panamá also reached the grand stage.


Puerto Rico beat Panamá to take first place, while Cuba was dominant over Dominican Republic, that final score secured spots for three teams to the World Cup, and one still other spot still in play.


Puerto Rico bested Panamá in a game of unbeaten teams to start play on Tuesday, for the first time in the tournament de Centro American nation started down in the scoreboard and finally fell 11-4.


As for Puerto Rico, the victory puts them in first place of the opening round of the tournament, and they are still yet to lose a game. On Wednesday they restart the game postponed by rain Venezuela in the first day of play up 4-1 in the second inning.


With the results from the first game, a victory by Cuba over the Dominicans would secure World Cup birth for three nations and that’s exactly what happened as the Cubans won 12-2.


Dominican Republic scored first, but from there on it was total control by Cuba, who ended up with two big innings of five runs to win by a difference of ten in the final game of the day.



Now Puerto Rico leads the standings (3-0), Cuba and Panamá play on Wednesday, both have a 3-1 record and all three qualified for the World Cup. Meanwhile Venezuela (1-2), Dominican Republic (0-3) and Colombia (0-3), will play for the final spot in the semifinals.
