Randy Arozarena went 4-for-5 with a double, two runs scored, and an RBI to help the Rays win 8-7 over the Mariners on Friday.
Arozarena had an excellent game at the plate on Friday, collecting four hits against Seattle. With a runner in scoring position in the second inning, he singled off of Logan Gilbert to drive in a run. He doubled in his next plate appearance before scoring on a base hit. The 27-year-old outfielder collected two more hits and scored on a three-run homer by Manuel Margot in the ninth inning. The four-hit game brings Arozarena's season line to .233/.269/.350 with four steals as he searches for his first home run.
Yandy Díaz had a good night against the Mariners.
Yandi Díaz, batting lead-off, went 2-for-5, a run, and a RBI on Friday's Tampa 8-7 win over the Mariners. Díaz BA continues to stay healthy and over the .300 mark during the month of May. The Cuban infielder is slashing .308/.438/. 423 this year.
Raisel Iglesias worked a perfect ninth with a three-run lead for his seventh save Friday against the Nationals.
Iglesias bounced back well from his first bad outing of the year and went without allowing a run for the 10th time in 12 appearances. After throwing just six pitches tonight, he'll be available again on Saturday.
Aroldis Chapman with no action until Sunday.
With Friday and Saturday's Yankees games postponed against the Rangers, it will be a long rest for the Cuban closer who doesn't see action since May 1 against Kansas City. Yankees and Rangers will play a double-header Sunday afternoon starting at 2 pm (ET).
Luis Robert homered, José Abreu went 1-for4, and Yasmani Grandal went hitless on a 4-2 win against the Red Sox.
Robert launched a two-run homer off Nathan Eovaldi in the top of the third inning, to make it a 3-0 lead for the White Sox. Robert went 1-for-4, his homer, a walk, and a strikeout. Robert has four homers and five steals in his 17 games this season. Abreu also went 1-for-4 adding a RBI in the 3rd inning to give the White Sox a 1-0 lead. On the other hand, Grandal went 0-for-2 with two walks, and two strikeouts.
Yordan Álvarez and Yuli Gurriel went blank on Friday night.
The two Astros' hitters went a combined 0-for-7 with two strikeouts - one each -, a walk - Álvarez, and 10 runners left on base, in a 3-2 win against the Tigers on Friday night. Álvarez is having a great start of the season compiling a .269 BA with 8 HR, and 15 RBI, while Gurriel is trying to improve his slow start this year that has him with a slash line of .202/.237/.326, no homers and only 5 RBI.
Guillermo Heredia hit-less on Friday against the Brewers.
Heredia went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts in Braves' 6-3 loss to the Brewers on Friday night. Heredia - a utility outfielder for the current champions -, shows a terrible slash line of .121/.216/.333 that compensates with his excellent defense skills in center field.
Yadiel Hernández took a day off Friday night.
The Cuban outfielder took a day off on Friday night's matchup against lefthanded Jonathan Díaz and the Angels. Hernández has 5 straight multi-hit games, tied for the longest streak in MLB this season, and just 3 shy of the franchise record. (2005-present)
Jorge Soler wasn't in the Marlins starting lineup for Friday' game against the Padres.
It's nothing more than a routine day of rest for the 30-year-old slugger. Jon Berti started in his place in left field and batted sixth for the Marlins on Friday. Soler is off to a slow start with his new club, slashing .167/.273/.302 with three homers, eight RBI and a 32/13 K/BB ratio over 25 games.
