Yadiel Hernández went 3-for-5 with two RBI in Tuesday's win over the Rockies.
Hernández is having a tremendous start to the year for the Nationals. The 34-year-old outfielder went 3-for-5 with a two-run double in the seventh inning for his 9th multi-hit game of the season, lifting his BA to .362. This year in 16 games Hernández has 14 RBI and is slashing a really nice .362/.387/.534 for the Nats.
Abreu and Grandal combined 1-for-6 against the Cubs.
Abreu went 0-for-3 and, walked and GIDP once, while Grandal went 1-for-3 and a walk on Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Cubs. Abreu, as usual, is struggling at the beginning of the season showing a slash line of .215/.319/.329 with 2 HR and 7 RBI.
Adolis García hitless against the Phillies.
García went 0-for-5 with a run, a strikeout, and 4 runners left on base in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Phillies. García, who last year broke single-season franchise records for a rookie with 31 HR and 90 RBI, is focused on his patience and discipline at the plate in what could be his first 162-games season.
Álvarez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk, and an additional run in Tuesday's 4-0 victory over the Mariners.
Álvarez launched a 435-foot bomb to center off Seattle starter Chris Flexen in the fourth inning and walked and scored in the sixth. The 24-year-old has been on a power surge of late with four home runs in his last five games to put him one off the MLB lead with eight. He has bumped his slugging from .510 to .647 in the process.
Jorge Soler was 1-for-3 against the DBacks.
Soler added a walk and no RBI, leaving two runners on bases in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the DBacks. Soler BA is only .182, but has produced 2 HR and 5 RBI in the last 7 games for the Marlins.
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. had no hits on Tuesday against the Yankees.
Gurriel Jr. went 0-for-4 with a strikeout against the Yankees on Tuesday, and once again didn't look good defensively in left field. In the seventh inning, Gurriel Jr. missed a diving catch on a Josh Donaldson double that gave the Yankees a 2-1 lead, and sparkled the Yankees offense in a 9-1 win for New York.
Ibánez was out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Phillies.
Ibánez was 5-for-11 with two walks, two runs, and two stolen bases while starting the past four games, but he took a seat Tuesday despite the fact left-hander Ranger Suárez was pitching for Philadelphia.
Luis Robert was not in the White Sox starting lineup on Tuesday.
Robert went 3-for-4 with a run scored on Monday afternoon against the Angels, but he grabbed some pine at the outset of Tuesday night's series opener versus the Cubs.
