Yasmani Grandal is not in the White Sox starting lineup on Wednesday.

It's probably a scheduled day of rest, though Grandal has been battling some minor leg soreness over the last couple of weeks. Reese McGuire is at catcher, José Abreu will DH, and Gavin Sheets is covering first base in Wednesday's matinee game against the visiting Guardians.

Yoán Moncada is not in the White Sox lineup Wednesday versus the Guardians.

Moncada is 2-for-8 with a walk and a hit-by-pitch in two games played since coming off the injured list on Monday. Josh Harrison will cover third base in Wednesday's matinee, with Leury Garcia handling second.

Jorge Soler went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's loss to the Diamondbacks.

Soler got the Marlins off to a strong start with his two-run homer off Madison Bumgarner in the top of the first inning. The Marlins would score just one additional run over the remainder of the contest, though. While Soler has struggled to a .177/.273/.354 triple-slash in 30 games this season, he has shown off impressive long-ball pop, launching some out-and-out moonballs, including two homers in his last four games.

Luis Robert went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in a 4-1 win Tuesday over Cleveland.

Robert singled, stole a base and scored on Gavin Sheets' homer in the sixth inning. The stolen base was his sixth of the season and first since April 16. The 24-year-old has hit safely in nine straight games, going 15-for-37 with eight runs scored and raising his season average to .282.

Gurriel went 1-for-3 with a double, a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Yankees.

The 28-year-old snapped an 0-for-13 mini-slump with his two-bagger in the eighth inning, while the RBI ended a 13-game drought. Gurriel's swoon has dragged his slash line down to .243/.295/.369, and through 31 games he has a disappointing two homers, 11 RBI and 13 runs, with his two steals being the only category in which he's ahead of his usual pace.

Yandy Díaz went 0-for-4 in Tuesday's loss to the Angels.

Díaz was unable to get to Reid Detmers in this one, but the same goes for everybody in the Rays' lineup, as Detmers finished without allowing a hit. Through 27 games played this season, Díaz has posted a .275/.400/.374 triple-slash with two home runs and seven RBI. He has posted low double-digit homers two of the last three seasons but holds little overall intrigue.

Adrián Morejón (elbow) allowed one earned run over three innings in his rehab debut Tuesday with Single-A Lake Elsinore.

Morejón served up a solo homer but otherwise fared well, yielding just one other hit and no walks while striking out five in the 40-pitch start. A little over 12 months removed from Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery, the 23-year-old southpaw should be an option for the San Diego pitching staff sometime in early-to-mid June.

Ibánez sat Tuesday against the Royals.

Ibánez sat after starting four straight games and eight of the last nine. Brad Miller got the start at third base.

Cortés didn't factor into the decision Monday against the Rangers after allowing one hit and walking four while striking out 11 over 7.1 scoreless innings.

Cortés cruised through 7.1 frames before surrendering a hit, and he was removed from the contest immediately after with 103 pitches. It would end up to be a tough-luck no-decision for the right-hander, as the Yankees waited until the eighth inning to put the game's only run on the board. Cortés owns a sparkling 1.41 ERA and 0.97 WHIP with a 42:11 K:BB over 32 frames in 2022.

Iglesias went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI on Monday against the Giants.

Iglesias first contributed with a single in the fifth inning and came around to score on a Yonathan Daza single. He then doubled in the final frame to continue a Colorado rally, driving in Elias Diaz. Iglesias is in the midst of a five-game hitting streak, during which he's collected four RBI and four runs scored. He has also quietly maintained a .329/.382/.427 line across 89 plate appearances on the campaign.

Chapman picked up the save Monday against the Rangers after allowing one hit in a scoreless inning.

Chapman was able to hold off the Rangers in the ninth after New York took a 1-0 lead in the eighth, despite surrendering a two-out single to left. The flamethrower has yet to allow a run on the season and has given up just three hits and seven walks through 11 appearances (10.1 innings).

Arozarena went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 11-3 loss to the Angels.

He opened the scoring in the top of the fourth inning by taking Noah Syndergaard deep, but the Angels immediately responded with three runs in the bottom of the frame, and the rout was on. The long ball was Arozarena's first of the year, but he's hit safely in nine of the last 10 games and boasts a .310/.341/.524 slash line over that stretch with a steal, five runs and five RBI.
