Yandy Díaz went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI against the Yankees on Monday.

Diaz delivered a two-RBI single in the ninth inning to put the Rays up 4-0. It gave him his first multi-hit game since July 27. He's struggled in post All-Star break action, as Monday's effort marked only his third multi-hit effort in 19 starts -- leading to a .189 average. However, Díaz has still managed to deliver timely hits in that span, as he also has 10 runs scored and 12 RBI. He's sitting at .272/.385/.385 in 423 plate appearances for the year.

Yoán Moncada went 1-for-4 with two RBI on Monday in a victory over the Astros.

Moncada went 1-for-4 with two RBI on Monday against the Astros. Moncada made his only hit of the day count, as he delivered the game-winning runs on a single in the eighth inning. Despite the positive performance Monday, Moncada is hitting only .196 across 54 at-bats in August. That's continued a disappointing campaign, as Moncada has maintained just a .199/.266/.314 line in 286 plate appearances.

Luis Robert (wrist) remained out of the White Sox' lineup Monday.

It's the third straight start he's missed with a sprained left wrist. Robert will go through a pregame workout to see if he could play on Tuesday. AJ Pollock is again in center field and Eloy Jimenez is in left.

Astros' Yuli Gurriel: One hit on Monday.

Gurriel went 1-for-4 batting second on Monday's 4-2 loss to the White Sox. Gurriel scored a run and also participated in one double-play. The veteran first baseman is having his worst full MLB season, slashing .243/.289/.380 with 7 HR, 32 RBI, 51 strikeouts and 8 steals for the year.

White Sox's José Abreu: Third straight multi-hit game. Abreu went 2-for-3 with one run scored in Monday's win over the Astros. The veteran first baseman recorded two hits Monday for the third game in a row, raising his average to .303 on the season. Abreu has slashed .329/.376/.481 since the beginning of July and is on pace for another great season. He leads the AL in hits with 130 and owns a 142 wRC+ on the season, good for 16th in the majors.

Rangers' Adolis García: One hit on Monday.

Adolis García went 1-for-4 on Monday's 2-1 victory against the A's. García struck out twice batting third and playing right-field. Offensively he is having a good moment slashing .296/.367/.389 with a homer and 10 RBI during his last 15 games.

Astros' Yordan Álvarez and Aledmis Díaz: Hitless on Monday.

Álvarez and Díaz went 0-for-6 combined on Monday's 4-2 loss to the White Sox. Díaz was o-for-4 while Álvarez had his RBI #75 of the year. Álvarez is slashing a poor .185/.270/.259 with only a homer, 6 RBI, and 15 strikeouts in his last 15 games. Meanwhile, Díaz is using all his opportunities on the field compiling a .321/.351/.604 slash line with 4 HR and 11 RBI in the same period of time.

Nationals' Yadiel Hernández: One RBI Monday.

Yadiel Hernández went 2-for-3 on Monday's 5-4 victory against the Cubs. Hernández scored a run and had his RBI #41 of the year, before being replaced by PH Alex Call late in the game. Yadiel is having a good season with the Nats that are in rebuilding mode, slashing .272/.316/.416 with 9 HR, 41 RBI, and 81 hits in 91 games this year.

Orioles' Cionel Pérez: 11 consecutive outings without allowing a run.

The crafty lefty extended to 11 his consecutive games with no runs allowed. Cionel got one out on Monday's Orioles 7-3 victory over the Jays. He threw just one pitch to end the 8th inning, extending to 10 1/3 his consecutive scoreless inning since July 15, when he allowed two earned runs against Tampa Bay. Pérez is having an amazing season from the bullpen with 40 strikeouts in 40 2/3 innings, a sensational 1.11 ERA, 6-1 record, and 1 save.

Reds' José Barrero: Hitless on Monday's game against the Phillies.

Barrero went 0-for-3 with a strikeout and three man left on base on Monday's 4-3 loss to the Phillies. The shortstop grounded into double play once and his BA is now .200 for the year.
