Adolis García launched two homers and collected five RBI on Sunday, powering the Rangers to a 7-1 victory over the Red Sox.

García put the Rangers ahead with a three-run blast off Red Sox' righty reliever Ryan Brasier in the sixth inning. He also added a two-run shot off Tyler Danish in the eighth inning to record his fourth career multi-homer effort. It was the first time he's left the yard since April 29. The 29-year-old outfielder has gotten off to an ice-cold start this season, hitting .205/.261/.418 with 20 runs scored, six homers, 23 RBI and four stolen bases across 134 plate appearances.

José Abreu went 0-for-4 and struck out twice Sunday in the loss to the Yankees.

Abreu is 1-for-26 in his last six games, dropping him back under the Mendoza Line for the season. He was unlucky early in April and then put up solid numbers for a couple of weeks, but this is a rather ugly slump right now.

Yuli Gurriel went 3-for-4 with a solo homer Sunday, leading the Astros to a 8-0 victory over the Nationals.

Gurriel capped off the three-hit performance with a sixth-inning solo shot to left field off Nationals' starter Patrick Corbin. The 37-year-old veteran infielder has racked up 10 hits, including a pair of homers, over his last five games since May 10.

Orioles' Yusniel Díaz: Aggravates hamstring injury

Díaz was placed on the 7-day minor-league injured list with a right hamstring strain Saturday, Andy Kostka of The Baltimore Sun reports. Díaz returned to action in early May after missing several weeks with a hamstring injury, but he'll head back to the injured list after he recently aggravated the issue.

Néstor Cortés limited the White Sox to one run and three hits over eight innings in the Yankees' 5-1 win Sunday.

Cortés allowed three hits today after flirting with the no-no last time out. He's given up a total of 23 hits and six earned runs in 40 innings on the season. That's quite a contrast from his past stints with other teams; between his time with the Orioles in 2018 and the Mariners in 2020, he gave up 22 hits and 17 earned runs in 12 1/3 innings.
